Terms of Use and Sale

These terms apply when you browse SOPS.net, create an account, purchase credits, unlock SOP content, use print or download facilities, submit material or otherwise use services provided through SOPS.net.
By using SOPS.net you agree to comply with these terms. Additional information presented during a particular checkout or transaction also forms part of the terms applicable to that transaction.
Nothing in these terms removes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights.
1. About SOPS.net
SOPS.net provides a searchable archive of Standard Operating Procedure documents, previews, registered-user accounts, credit purchasing, permanent web-document unlocks and separate print/download access.
The service is intended to provide general workplace and business documentation resources. SOP content must be reviewed and adapted before use where appropriate.
2. Your account
You must provide a valid email address when registering and must keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity carried out using your account unless the activity occurred because of a failure for which SOPS.net is legally responsible.
You must not obtain, use or share accounts in a way intended to evade SOPS.net charges, access controls or technical restrictions.
If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, change your password and contact [email protected].
3. Credits
SOPS.net credits are a closed-system digital balance used solely to obtain eligible SOPS.net services.
Credits are not money, electronic money, cryptocurrency, an investment, a bank balance or a cash-equivalent product. They cannot be withdrawn for cash, sold independently, exchanged for another currency or transferred between accounts unless SOPS.net expressly provides such a feature.
Purchased credits do not expire merely because time passes. Unused purchased credits remain on the relevant account while that account and the applicable SOPS.net credit service remain available.
Registration does not include free credits unless a specific promotion expressly states otherwise.
4. Credit packages and pricing
The price, currency and number of credits included in a package are shown before checkout. The information shown by SOPS.net immediately before the transaction is the price applicable to that transaction.
SOPS.net may change the price or composition of future credit packages. A later price change does not retrospectively change the price of a completed purchase.
5. Payment through Stripe
Credit purchases are processed using Stripe. Card and other payment information is entered through Stripe's payment environment rather than being entered directly into the SOPS.net application.
SOPS.net receives and stores transaction-related information needed to identify and fulfil purchases, which may include Stripe Checkout identifiers, payment identifiers, payment status, amount, currency, account identifiers and customer contact information supplied through the payment process.
Credits are granted only after SOPS.net receives trusted confirmation that the relevant payment has been completed.
6. Full web SOP unlocks
Unless a particular page states otherwise, one credit permanently unlocks the full web version of a paid SOP for the purchasing account.
A permanent web unlock means that, while SOPS.net continues to operate the relevant service and your account remains available, you will not be charged another credit merely to reopen the same web SOP.
This does not create a promise that SOPS.net, a specific document, internet infrastructure or any other digital service will exist indefinitely.
7. Print and download access
Full web access and print/download access are separate permissions. Where a separate export unlock is required, another credit is used to unlock the print/download capability for that SOP.
Purchasing a web unlock does not automatically grant an export licence unless the relevant page specifically states that it does.
8. Licence to use SOP content
When you unlock SOPS.net content, you receive a non-exclusive licence to access and use that content for your own internal purposes or the internal operational, training and documentation purposes of the organisation for which you are legitimately using the service.
You may adapt unlocked SOP content for legitimate internal workplace use. Unless SOPS.net expressly grants additional permission, the licence does not permit you to:
resell individual SOPs; redistribute SOPS.net documents as a template library; publish substantial portions of the archive on another website; sell copies as your own commercial document product; provide bulk access to third parties; or use automated methods to reproduce a substantial part of the SOPS.net database.
Purchasing access does not transfer ownership of SOPS.net intellectual property to you.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use SOPS.net to commit or facilitate unlawful activity, fraud, unauthorised access, payment abuse, malicious interference or infringement of third-party rights.
You must not intentionally bypass paywalls or access controls, exploit vulnerabilities, scrape the service at a scale that harms or copies the database, interfere with other users, submit malicious code, use stolen payment methods or deliberately create transactions intended to defeat the credit system.
10. Submitted material
If SOPS.net allows you to submit a procedure, document, checklist or other material, you must have the right to provide that material.
Do not submit confidential employer information, personal data you have no right to disclose, trade secrets, unlawfully obtained documents or copyright material that you are not authorised to provide.
Submitting material does not guarantee that it will be published, retained or incorporated into the archive.
11. Changes to SOP content
SOPS.net may correct, update, expand, reformat or otherwise improve SOP content after publication. An unlocked SOP may therefore change after the date on which it was originally unlocked.
Where an organisation needs a fixed controlled document version, it should maintain its own approved internal copy and document-control process.
12. Service availability
We aim to keep SOPS.net available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Availability may be affected by maintenance, software updates, hosting problems, security events, internet outages, payment-provider issues and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
13. Cancellations, refunds and statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes a refund, cancellation right, remedy or other consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Digital-content and digital-service purchases can be subject to specific statutory rules. Where applicable, beginning immediate supply of digital content during a statutory cancellation period may require your express request or acknowledgement and may affect a cancellation right once supply has begun.
Requests concerning duplicate charges, payment errors, failure to supply purchased credits or another alleged entitlement to a refund should be sent to [email protected].
A change of mind does not automatically create a right to reverse digital content that has already been supplied where the law permits that right to be lost, but statutory rights always remain unaffected.
14. Payment disputes and chargebacks
If a payment is reversed, charged back, disputed as unauthorised or otherwise withdrawn, SOPS.net may investigate the transaction and may temporarily restrict the corresponding credits or access while the matter is resolved where it is reasonable and lawful to do so.
This clause does not prevent anyone from exercising a genuine statutory, contractual or card-provider right.
15. SOP content and professional reliance
SOPS.net content is general operational documentation and is not a substitute for legal, financial, tax, medical, engineering, employment, fire-safety, health-and-safety, data-protection or other regulated professional advice.

16. Intellectual property
SOPS.net branding, original site content, software, presentation, database structure and original SOP material may be protected by copyright, database rights, trade mark rights and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of those rights.
17. Liability
SOPS.net is intended to provide general operational resources rather than bespoke professional advice. You remain responsible for decisions about whether, where and how an SOP is implemented.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SOPS.net and its operator are not responsible for losses caused solely by adopting generic SOP content without carrying out the review, adaptation, risk assessment or professional checks reasonably required for the relevant activity.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that applicable law says cannot be excluded.
18. Suspension or termination
SOPS.net may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to address fraud, payment abuse, security threats, unlawful activity, serious misuse of the service, unauthorised redistribution or a material breach of these terms.
Where appropriate, we may contact the account holder before or after taking action and may restore access when the underlying issue is resolved.
19. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the service, law, payment system or business model changes. The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
Material changes will apply prospectively except where a change is required immediately for legal, security or technical reasons.
20. Governing law
These terms are intended to operate in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, subject always to any mandatory rights or protections that apply to you as a consumer in your place of residence.
Nothing in this section removes a consumer's right to rely on mandatory local protections or any jurisdiction that applicable law requires.
